Description:
Packwood is set in 1000 acres of green pastures, a gem hidden between the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains, breathtaking views over the estate and down to the ocean.
Vicky and Peter's hospitable home offers a true taste of country living, spend a lazy day fishing on the dams, catch some sun by the heated salt water swimming pool and take in the scenery.
An array of wildlife is around you from monkeys to bush buck and an abundance of birdlife, indigenous forests, rolling hills and spectacular mountain scenery.
A golfer's paradise with over six courses within one hour's drive.
Breakfast is served on our sun terrace or in our cosy dining room, most of the food we grow ourselves or is grown locally, vegetables and herbs fresh from the garden, honey and homemade jams, eggs, milk from our dairy, yoghurt and cheese. In the evening indulge yourself in some wholesome county cooking, dinners by prior arrangement.
Each room has been individually decorated and all bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. We have a Sunset Room with a four poster bed underfloor heating and 2 bathrooms with wonderful views over the estate.
The Garden Room which looks over the herb garden with thatch ceiling and open fireplace, ideal for those cold winter nights.
The Lavender Room is situated at the front of the house and also boasts wonderful views over the Estate.
The self catering family cottage sleeps 6 people, 2 double and 1 twin room, 1 full bathroom and additional wc, large open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area. Boasting fantastic views located above the main house, the large deck is the perfect place for catching the sun, relaxing or for a braai. The family house and hill cottage share a dual band decoder giving both units access to satellite TV.
Hill Cottage forms part of the B&B sleeps 2 people with large deck, braai facilities.
