Description:
Fern Glen Guest Cottages are ideal for business or leisure, we invite you to relax in one of 5 well-equipped, self-catering cottages.
We are situated on a large secure property in Ferndale, Randburg within easy reach of the Northgate Coca Cola Dome, Randburg Sports Complex, Rhema Church, The Healing School, major shopping Malls, Olivedale and Sandton Clinics (each 5 min away). NASREC/Gold Reef City is an easy 15 to 20 minutes away against the major traffic. Sandton Convention Centre is approximately 12 minutes away and Morningside and Sunninghill Clinics, each about 15 minutes away.
Accommodation:
All units have a covered parking bay, a patio, small Bar-B-Q and TV.
Towels and bedding are provided. Kitchens have all the necessary appliances, utensils and crockery, pots and pans.
All units have a hair dryer, iron and ironing board and a Fan/Heater.
The use of a laundry for personal laundry is available for a reasonable rate. No smoking is allowed inside any unit.
Breakfast is and optional extra.
We have 5 self-catering units as follows:
The Studio is a 2-sleeper unit consisting of one large room and a bathroom with shower. It has twin beds, a dining area, couch and a kitchenette. It is decorated in bright colours and very cheery. The kitchenette has a small fridge, microwave and one hotplate.
The Apartment - Self Catering Cottage is a 2-sleeper unit consisting of one large room and a bathroom with bath/shower. It has twin beds, a lounge/dining area and a kitchenette.
It is decorated in warm natural tones and very relaxing. The kitchenette has a small fridge, microwave and one hotplate.
The Cabin - Self Catering Cottage is a 4-sleeper unit with one bedroom, bathroom with shower and large Lounge/Dining area/Kitchenette.
It is decorated with an African Wildlife theme in warm tones. The bedroom has a double bed and the other room has two couches, which can become a double or 2 single beds.
The modern kitchenette has a small fridge, 2 hot plates and a microwave.
The Suite - Self Catering Cottage is a 4-sleeper unit with one bedroom, bathroom with bath/shower and spacious Lounge/Dining area. It is decorated with a Colonial theme in soft shades.
The bedroom has twin beds with additional twin beds adjacent to the dining area.
It has a full kitchen with a family sized fridge/freezer, stove/oven, microwave and an electric frying pan.
The Cottage - Self Catering is a unit with two bedrooms, one bathroom with shower, a lounge/dining area and a full kitchen.
It is colourfully decorated in pastels creating a peaceful atmosphere.
The main bedroom has a double bed and the large 2nd bedroom has 4 single beds.
The kitchen has a family sized fridge/freezer, 2 hot plates, microwave and an electric frying pan.

Discounts for extended stays:
For stays 14 days and longer, discount on a sliding scale is given, from 5% for
14 days to a maximum of 15% for 28 days or more
Laundry Facility : DIY R30 per load (Detergent and Fabric Softener provided)
Wash, dry and fold. R50 per load.
Baby Sitting : R30 per hour
Breakfast : R35 per person on request and must be booked in advance
Terms and Conditions
· A 50% deposit will secure your booking. The balance must be paid on arrival.
· On cancellation, a handling fee of 10%, is charged.
· The full deposit less the handling fee is refunded, if the booking is cancell
ed at least 28 days before the arrival date.
· 50% of the deposit, less the handling fee is refunded if the booking is cance
lled 21 to 27 days before the arrival date.
· 25% of the deposit, less the handling fee is refunded if the booking is cance
lled 14 to 20 days before the arrival date.
· No refund of deposit if the booking is cancelled less than 14 days before the
arrival date. Full payment is required for “No shows” or “early exits”.
· A damages deposit of R250 to R500 per unit, depending on the size of the unit
and if smoking / non-smoking, is payable on arrival and will be refunded should
the unit be in order. No smoking is allowed in any unit. The damages deposit wi
ll be retained should any traces of smoke be found.
· The Washing of dishes is the guests responsibility. R100 of the damages depo
sit will be retain should the dishes not have been washed on the day of departur
e.
· Regular check-in time is 14h00 or by arrangement.
· Guests to leave unit by 10h00 on date of departure or by arrangement.
· Units are not serviced on Saturdays. Sundays or public Holidays, unless reque
sted and a 10% surcharge is paid.
These terms and conditions are deemed accepted on receipt of deposit/payment.
