Description:
You are driving through the scenic Eastern Free State in South-Africa, with it's rolling cornfields and cheeky kopjes. Just as the uniquely shaped Platberg Mountain in Harrismith comes into view, you see the signs: Amadudu Guest House.
You follow the signs through town and arrive in the peaceful, tree-rich corner of Bergsig in Harrismith. You are welcomed by your friendly hosts and enjoy your complimentary sherry on arrival. When you reach your room, you flop down on the exquisite bedlinen. After taking a deep, relaxing bath and using the thick luxurious towels and high quality, complimentary toiletries, you enjoy your pre-arranged, tasteful dinner in the dining room.
Afterwards, you relax in your room or guest lounge watching TV, enjoying cold beverages from the refrigerator in your room and snacks from the snack bar. When you feel like something hot, you have coffee or tea from the tray in your room. You set your bedside alarm clock and enjoy a good night's rest on an excellent quality mattress, knowing that you are protected by high security and your car is safely parked.
The next morning you wake up and after a refreshing shower and drying your hair with our in-room hairdryer, you enjoy your full English breakfast. When you leave after greeting your host, who almost feel like family now, you know in your heart: if you ever get the opportunity to overnight in Harrismith again: THIS IS THE PLACE!
Harrismith is also closely situated to the Drakensberg mountains, Sterkfontein Dam and is very central on the N3 between Durban and Johannesburg.
