Description:
This owner-managed guest house offers friendly, relaxed, homely
hospitality. It is conveniently situated across the road from the lagoon with magnificent views, and is an easy ten minute walk from town centre, restaurants, ferries, steam train and the Waterfront.
Bridgewater is an ideal base for a visit to Knysna - for business or pleasure. Your hosts have extensive first-hand knowledge of the area to help you plan a very worthwhile tour of the Garden Route.
Rooms
There are nine comfortable en suite rooms - lagoon facing with lovely views or quiet courtyard. There are two family units - the others have double or twin beds. The rooms are serviced daily, and have tea/coffee facilities, TV (M-net), ceiling fans and heaters. Most have outside entrances.
Breakfast is served in the diningroom between 7h00 and 9h30. Enjoy the wonderful view
across the lagoon towards the Heads, and watch the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe on its morning crossing of the bridge.
There is plenty of space to relax in the garden or recline around the swimming pool.The more energetic are welcome to use our canoes - we are literally a stone's throw from the water's edge. Portable braai's are available on request.
There is a central telephone/fax system, a guest lounge and hospitality fridge. We will gladly make your dinner reservations - there is a wide range of excellent restaurants, many of which are within walking distance.
