This piece of paradise is situated in the southern drakensberg range, in the North Eastern corner of the Eastern Cape Highlands, A mere 1.5 km outside the Historic Village of Rhodes.
We offer self catering or bed & breakfast accommodation to our Guests who will have the benefit of a farmstay in modern, spacious, comfortable, well equipped accommodation, yet are close to the shops, restaurants and other activities Rhodes has to offer.
A mere 30 min drive from the Tiffendell Ski Resort making it an ideal jump-off point. We fall within the Maloti tourism area and also form part of the Friendly N6 route. Snow falls are a regular occurrence during winter months.
Kinmel and the surrounding areas, is a nature lovers paradise. The magnificent mountains, pristine rivers with it’s rock pools and waterfalls, open space with crisp mountain air, offers visitors, the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle and stresses of today’s fast paced lifestyle.
We offer something for everyone, from old to young, the more adventurous or just wishing for some peace and quiet, it’s all to be had. Come and recharge your batteries with us.
Enjoy invigorating hikes in the surrounding mountains, swim in the river or play in the rock pools, go fly-fishing, walking, bird watching, mountain biking, savour the scenery on one of our many 4 X 4 trails, enjoy a leisurely picnic beneath the willows down by the river or you can simply put your feet up, relax and enjoy the splendour which the Southern Drakensberg has to offer.
The old sheep shearing barn has been converted into modern, spacious, comfortable, well equipped 3 bedroomed chalets with 2 bathrooms each.
Large glass patio doors lead onto a wide verandah, with spectacular views of the Drakensberg mountains and the Bell river flowing past 400 metres away.
Surrounding the chalets are large lawns with a small lovely mountain stream murmuring past less than 50 metres away. A very child friendly environment where kids can still play in safety, with 2 jungle jims to keep them busy.
In addition to electric lights, fridge(with freezer), microwafe oven, stove and plug points, they all have fireplaces and private braai area. Firewood is supplied free of charge. The cottages are fully equipped and serviced daily by cleaning staff.
Bedrooms are upstairs with an easy child friendly staircase.
No smoking allowed inside the chalets.

Peak season:
R195.00 June, July to end of August
Single person R275.00 all seasons
Children under 10 charged at R100 each
Toddlers under 2 stay free.
A 50% deposit is required to confirm a reservation
We offer breakfast @ R65 per person as optional extra.
Kids 5 and under eat half price.
