The Ocean Art House is a Guest House with Art Gallery, at Cape Agulhas on the Southern Cape coast. It stands within a short walking distance of the Indian Ocean with its breathtaking beautiful emerald green water and relaxing atmosphere.
The house itself is in a modern style with an unmistakable architectural charm, inviting the viewer to an intense and rewarding visual dialogue. Art and Nature combine to convey enduring impressions, stimulating the senses and allowing one to forget everyday hustle and bustle.
Ocean Art House offers four individually furnished rooms with en suite bathrooms, each with an evocative name: Lost in Art, Blue Horizons, Zen View and Peace of Mind.
There is a living room with TV on the first floor, a luxuriously fitted kitchen and a sitting-room with stereo CD player on the ground floor and an ART CAFE. In all Ocean Art House is a jewel amongst guest-houses in Southern Africa.
Ocean Art House faces the sea and offers a splendid view of sunrise over the bay of Cape Agulhas and Struis Bay. The rear of the house looks on to a Nature Reserve and includes a small courtyard which offers an area of sunny calm and pleasant views on blustery days.
In a striking symbiosis of modern interior and contemporary Art. Ocean Art House also shows the work of several members of the Art Group Red Corridor, including painting, photography and sculpture.
