Charles Wood a carpenter by trade, arrived in Grahamstown in 1823 and built himself a neat little cottage behind Artificer's Square.
Today you can experience the charm of Carpenter's Cottage, an ideal base from which to explore the town and surrounding countryside.
The cottage has a bedroom with twin beds, a living room with large old (working) fireplace, private bathroom and a self-catering kitchen
stocked with food for your breakfast.
