High Corner Guest House is one of Grahamstown’s most loved landmarks. The guest house is situated in upper High Street opposite the famous Drostdy Arch and Rhodes University.
Superior accommodation is provided to guests in this elegant guest house which is within easy walking distance of numerous restaurants and coffee shops, Rhodes University, the High Court, museums, Library for the Blind and the business centre of Grahamstown.
This gracious home and guest house has been meticulously and lovingly restored. It boasts a yellow wood staircase and floors, original Oregon pine panelling, high ceilings and generous rooms graced with Cape antiques and original art.
Accommodation for guests is provided by five beautifully furnished bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and, not forgetting modern comforts: air conditioning, heated towel rails, satellite television, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers and digital safes.
Guests have exclusive use of the elegant lounge where delicious breakfasts are served each morning. Relax at our vine-covered patio with salt water swimming pool or enjoy a treat at the on-site beauty clinic (by appointment only). Secure parking is provided behind beautiful old stone walls.
Two ungraded, self-catering cottages are also available. Cottages are set in a separate courtyard area behind the guest house. Each cottage can sleep a maximum of four people.
