Description:
Wyford Farm is located on van Reenen's Pass (the main pass through the Drakensberg mountains)just 1,8 km off the N3 and
midway between Johannesburg and Durban and 40Km from either Harrismith or Ladysmith.
There are 5 units all private and secluded.
Poplar Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with doble bed and ensuite shower bathroom, the other has twin beeds and there is another bathroom with bath. A large loft can accommodate 3 to 4 children. The living area is large and includes the sitting room with fireplace, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The garden is enclosed and suitable for guests dogs and has a private braai.
Aloe Cottage sleeps two adults and two children in a twin bedded en-suite bedroom and a loft area. It also has a lounge cum dining area with lovely views of the mountains, a full kitchen and enclosed garden suitable for guests dogs.
The Old Trading Store has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. There are two bathrooms and a very large living area which incorporates a fireplace. It has a separate fully equipped kitchen.
The Garden Cotttage, overlooking the swimming pool, is a one bedroom cottage with double bed and a small sitting area with fireplace. It also has a bathroom and kitchenette.
The Zulu Hut - a traditional beehive Zulu hut has two twin beds, an outside ablution and braai area and overlooks the dam in front of the house. It offers guests a special experience in traditional African asccommodation.
Facilities offered to guests are a swimming pool, horse riding (R45 charge), mountain biking (these can be hired at R15 per day or guests can bring their own), bird watching and mountain walks.
Fly fishing is available 1Km away.
Go for a brisk early morning walk, watch the abundance of birds in the garden, enjoy home-made cookies with tea in the sun, dare to go on a guided walk high up into the mountains, play bowls, mini-golf, table tennis, pool, snooker or darts,
go on a sunset stroll ... and at the end of the day, play cards, chess or any of the numerous board games with friends ...
Wyford is a paradise for children where they can experience the freedom of wide open areas with your peace of mind. Let them spend time with the animals – including cows, pigs, sheep, horses and chickens and help with farm activities.
