Description:
The lodge is situated in a picturesque setting of rolling hills and kranzes in the Mid Illovo district of the Natal Midlands, only 20 minute from Umkomaas Valley, 80 km from Durban, 45 km from PMB and 40 minutes from Durban International Airport.
Embrace the tranquility of the evenings while you relax on the aerial boardwalk that runs amongst the upper branches of Natal and Rock fig trees. Listen to the sounds of the wild as night descends and enjoy the bushveld experience of the camp, the intimate braai and gazebo areas and the character bush bar, as you watch the sunset disappear behind the kranzes and savour the sense of space, silence and nature.
The central facility comprises of an African theme bar and lounge area, a conference facility, a dining room and a boma. The lodge provides fully catered accommodation for groups, with a number of menus to choose from, and self-catering accommodation for independent guests to the lodge.
Accommodation is available at the lodge and at Stirling House.
There are twelve beds at the lodge in the form of two two-bed chalets and two four-bed chalets.
Stirling House can accommodate fourteen guests in six rooms, which include four two-bed rooms (one en-suite and air conditioned and two en-suite) and two three-bed rooms (one en-suite). Situated 3km from the lodge
The conference centre seats up to 25 delegates in U-shape or 50 delegates cinema style. The large functions room below the conference centre can seat up to 100 guests and has French doors, which extends the facility into the outdoors. The conference centre is equipped with an overhead projector and white board facilities. There is an adjacent kitchen for outside caterers if required. The boma has been equipped and designed to facilitate weddings, birthday parties, reunions, Christmas parties, and team building exercises.
