The Artists Café and Guest HouseDescription:
The Artists Café and Guest House is situated in the former Hendriksdal Railway Station dating back to the 1920's. The Station Master's house has been converted into a family run Italian Trattoria, serving rural Tuscan dishes. Unique works of art by both renowned as well as up and coming artists adorn the walls. Small, but comprehensive, wine list available.
The station buildings, comprising the Station Master's Office, Ticket Office, Waiting Room First Class and Second Class have been transformed into en-suite accommodation. No apology is made if the occasional timber train rumbles by, afterall, it only adds authenticity to the whole experience.
Hendriksdal is a tiny forestry hamlet situated in the Drakensberg mountain range surrounded by pine forests. It is only 16 km from Sabie and 45 km from Nelspruit. Situated on the Mpumalanga Panorama Route, you are very close to all the famous lowveld places of interest. The Kruger Park is a mere one and a half hours drive away.
