Description:
Delightful self-catering accommodation, less than 2 hours drive from Cape Town in the golden valley of Citrusdal in the Western Cape. Petersfield is an export citrus and rooibos tea mountain estate, overlooking the majestic Cederberg mountain range and the lush orchards of the fertile valley. We pride ourselves on the quality of our accommodation and the beauty of the surrounding countryside.
Two fully equipped self-catering cottages are on offer; respectively called Dassieklip Luxury Cottage and De Kom Mountain Retreat. Each has a distinct character and ambience, both with unique settings, private plunge pools and complete privacy.
With the emphasis on comfort and complete privacy, Dassieklip provides every modern convenience. Air-conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave, Jetmaster fireplace, colour TV (with M-Net), CD player, bathroom with both bath and shower and the tasteful interior are all planned to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
A sparkling plunge pool, an outside barbecue area and undercover parking complete the picture. Bedding and towels are provided and the cottage can be serviced on request.
All you need to bring is food and drink and lots of leisure time!
Dassieklip cottage has two bedrooms - one with double bed and another with two singles - and sleeps two more on day beds in the lounge. (Max. 6).
De Kom self-catering cottage offers country retreat style luxury accommodation in complete privacy. Set on its own in a magnificent natural basin and surrounded by untouched Cape fynbos mountainside overlooking the Cederberg mountains, you are left to experience nature at your own pace. Small game and bird life abound and fresh air, incredible night skies, breathtaking scenery and healing tranquility will gently restore your soul.
The accommodation consists of a romantic and peaceful main bedroom with a queen size bed and a french door leading to the veranda. A second bedroom has two single beds and two more guests can be accommodated on a sleeper couch in the lounge. (Six in total).
A Jetmaster fireplace, gas amenities for cooking, fridge and hot water for the bathroom (with shower and bath). Paraffin lamps, candles and a bag of firewood for the outside braai (barbecue) complete your escape from city life and sets the mood for a romantic stay.
