Trout fishing, see some of the rarest birds in the world and enjoy the best pony trekking, hiking and sight seeing in the world.

Lesotho`s Annual Show, `The Morija Arts & Cultural Festival` is in the first week of October.

The Town Walk
Walk into town and visit the Trading stores, buy a Basotho blanket or watch the shearers at work with the sheep in early summer and the goats in autumn. Have a beer in a local pub.

The Bald Ibis Stroll
Walk down the river for half an hour; watch the Bald Ibis coming in to their nests in the evenings.

The Ramotinyane Path
Walk out the top gate and turn left, following the river down stream. Keep on the contour path going around the mountain and back down to the Lodge.

Habeleme Sunset
Walk out the top gate and climb Habeleme hill on the left. This gives you a beautiful view of our valley and is good for sunsets.

Hike 1 - The Phororo Viewpoint
A three-hour hike to view the spectacular 196m single drop waterfall and gorge with its 300m cliffs.

Hike 2 - Ka Nokeng
A six-hour walk via the Maletsunyane River, swimming in the rockpools on a hot day, will bring you to the edge, where a breathtaking view of the gorge can be seen. From here you can work your way around to the viewpoint. There are two paths once you reach the top of the hill. The first is the path along the edge, which is steep and slippery in wet weather. The second path takes you to the top and via the wool shed to the falls viewpoint. Return via the main path to the Lodge.

Hike 3 - Into the Smoke
This is a strenuous walk! Do not go alone when wet. A 5-6 hour walk with time to have lunch at the bottom of the falls. Plan your day with food, water etc. To see the falls from the bottom brings its awesome size into perspective. This is a beautiful place to swim, trout fish or just to sit in awe of the power of time and nature. Beware of the large mythical snake! Ascend the same path out of the gorge.

Hike 4 - Matsoku Falls
Explore the southern view of the gorge and waterfalls. A 5-6 hour walk down the river to the footbridge, cross the bridge and pass the school. Head south to the gorge and follow the gorge as far as the next waterfall, the Matsoku falls. Return the same route.
