Our guesthouse at Maltahöhe should be your restful stopover before travelling to Lüderitz, Fishriver Canyon or Sossusvlei and the Namib desert, one of the oldest deserts in the world.
Geneviève will give you a warm welcome at her guesthouse, from which you have a wonderful view at the Schwarzrand, our vast local mountain range.
The 5 double rooms are all en suite, comfortably furnished in a Namibian style, with a French flavour. Also a lush green garden is waiting for you to enjoy and relax in.
To make you feel at home at Atelier du Désert Geneviève offers you an excellent cuisine, local or french style (Dinner and Lunchpakets on request).

You want to stay a bit longer at Atelier du Désert, how about a day tour to nearby schwarzkuppe Guestfarm? Barnie, your host, will take you there for a game drive or for a hike to the bushman paintings.
Lovers of birds can observe a variety of them nesting in the big old trees and in the afternoon you will enjoy a typical African sundowner, when the sun goes down behind the Namib Desert mountain range - a wonderful experience, you really should not miss.
