Nestling above the village of White River, a mere 30km from the Kruger National Park, Glory Hill Country Manor offers the discerning visitor a chance to relax and absorb the grandeur of the Lowveld, in peacefull surroundings.
Capture the peace of bygone age. The main house was designed by Sir Herbert Baker, as a country retreat for a pioneering mining magnet. The history of White River and the Lowveld is reflected in the original wooden trusses under the vaulted ceilings. Guests can relax in the homely atmosphere of either the two lounges or on the vibrant, indigenous tropical and indeginous gardens which surrounds the Lodge.
Daybreak at Glory Hill brings wonderfull oppertunities for guests to explore. Prowl the Kruger Park, delve into Historic Pilgrim's Rest, take in the breathtaking views from God's Window, or wonder along one of the many hiking trails in the area. Whatever your interests, Glory Hill is perfectly situated to discover the many delights of the Lowveld.
Return to the Lodge after an exciting day and relax at the guest bar and observation deck, while you revive over a favourite cocktail as the sun sets along the valley below the Lodge. Dinner at Glory Hill is always a gourmet experience of good country cooking, perfectly prepared by your hostess Tracy and staff.
The Lodge is jealously reserved for a maximum of twelve guests per day, accomodated in tastefully furnished private rooms with all amenities, set in beautiful gardens.
Facilities include a swimming pool, country walks, gardens that offer a variety of birdlife for the bird watcher and a television lounge.
Sporting facilities are available a short "hop" from Glory Hill and there are quaint shops in the village for gifts or the odd forgotten item. The Barn Yard Theater for evening entertainment is just aroundt the corner.
