Alkmaar Farmstay is located 16km from Nelspruit off the N4 at Alkmaar.
This is a working citrus and nut farm. There are two guest bedrooms with private entrances and the self catering garden cottage which look out onto the citrus orchards.
Alkmaar Farmstay is set in the heart of the Lowveld in the Schagen Valley on the Maputo Corridor 10 minutes from Nelspruit, the capital of Mpumalanga. This tranquil homestead and chalet of your well-travelled hosts Johann and Wanda.
It is within close proximity of the Kruger National Park. It is also perfectly located for exploring the Lowveld tourist attractions like Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrim's Rest and Sudwala Caves.
Breakfast is available at the bushcamp or on the veranda and dinners are availablae on request.
Lots of things to do, i.e, Senic Four by Four route to the Crocodile River valley for sundowners, bass fishing, kayaking, hiking, plus a swimming pool.
Alkmaar Farmstay is a birdwatcher's paradise with nesting white fronted bee-eaters, resident paradise flycatchers and long crested eagles being seen regularly. Hiking, bass fishing and kayaking are available as well as a scenic 4X4 route. It is also the ideal stopover enroute to Mozambique.
