The R62 is an exciting and adventurous route that gets one to the Garden Route instead of taking the infamous N2. Route 62 offers one more than an alternative but rather an alternative with wineries, fruit farms, trout fishing, warm baths and amazing scenery. Join us at The Tradouw Guesthouse for a relaxing and memorable time in the country atmosphere of the Little Karoo - Barrydale.
The Guest house boasts a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere with a beautiful garden and beautiful views. There is also a T.V. Lounge with Satellite Television. The Guesthouse is rich in history and as such the character is colourful and interesting.
The rooms at The Tradouw Guesthouse are comfortable and have a relaxed, country atmosphere about them. All rooms are strictly private and have private entrances with en suite bathrooms. These bathrooms include a shower, toilet and a basin. Accommodation includes breakfast. There is a licensed bar "McCavities" for the guests
Patio Room 1: This room has a beautiful view of the mountains. If one is lucky the one can see the first glimpses of the winter snow capping the peaks of the Overberg. The patio is there to relax with as too is the large garden at the back of the house. The garden is filled with exquisite trees and flowers where one take in the aroma of the fresh air mixed with the scents of the flowers.
Patio Room 2: This room has a panoramic view of the clouds billowing over the mountains as the afternoon breeze cools one down in the hot summer sun. The room also opens up onto the patio under the vines where one can relax and let the world pass one by.
Patio Room 3: With the room rolling out onto the patio, one can relax with a drink in the cool of the vines in the hot summer days. Once again the entrance to the room is strictly private so one can relax with a book or an afternoon nap without any disturbances.
Patio Room 4: This room is situated alongside rooms one, two and three, and faces the Cape Fold mountains that create the valley that Barrydale is situated in. With the room opening up onto the patio one can enjoy a relaxing sundowner or a light meal under the vines.
Garden Room 5: This room opens right up into the beautiful garden behind the guesthouse. The room boasts a ceiling fan for the hot summer days and warm summer night with a heater for the mild winter days and the cold winter nights.
Garden Room 6: This room opens up onto the garden with a panoramic view of the mountains behind the guesthouse. The room includes a ceiling fan for the hot summer days and nights and a heater for the mild winter days and cold winter nights.
