Misty Mountain – a nature lover’s haven – is a 280 hectare South African Natural Heritage Site situated on the spectacular Long Tom Pass (31 kilometres from Lydenburg and 24 kilometres from Sabie), Mpumalanga, South Africa. Perched at an altitude of 1700 metres above sea level in a malaria free area, Misty Mountain is uniquely set in mountainous countryside with majestic views across the escarpment and into the lowveld.
Misty Mountain has 27 chalet units (total of 84 beds) offering comfortable, country style accommodation with easy access to the restaurant and all other facilities.

Our chalets are geared for couples or families, our tariffs include bed and breakfast but, for lunches and dinners, guests can enjoy superior country cooking from our extensive a la carte menu in the restaurant or self cater at their chalets. We specialise in popular, country cooking and our dishes are all freshly prepared to order. We have an extensive a la carte menu, including a children’s menu and a wide and varied wine list.
We serve the best breakfast in the area which can be enjoyed on our pool deck . Lunches, snacks and light meals are available throughout the day. In the evening, enjoy dinner in our hearty restaurant.
We also offer set menus, buffets, barbeques and themed dinners for groups and functions. These are available on request.
