Walkersons, with its stone and thatch buildings and 1500-acre Highland Estate offers a Royal experience if you are seeking something truly special.
The main lodge exudes atmosphere and warmth. All bedrooms are very private with lake views and afford the guest every comfort ? fireside armchairs, a well stocked private mini bar and television. Excellent cuisine and handpicked wines are a speciality of the house and friendly and attentive staff compliments fine dining.
Walkersons has a total of 21 beautifully appointed rooms consisting of:
1 Highland Suite - our deluxe 5 roomed suite, ideal for the bride and groom (sleeps 2)
1 Manor Suite - our family suite (sleeps 4, 2 bathrooms)
16 Lakeside Double Suites (sleeps 2)
2 Lakeside Twin Suites (sleeps 2)
1 Stable Suite (sleeps 2)
Lakeside Suite: All suites under thatch with armchairs facing open log fireplaces.
? All with extra-length king-size beds and private writing desk, TV and telephone.
? Full bathroom and separate shower, heater and heated towel rail.
? A special feature is the fully equipped drinks cabinet in every room.
? All rooms have private patios and are lake facing.
Manaor Suite: Fully appointed with all the features of our Lakeside suites but more spacious, with an additional bedroom and bathroom adjoining for extra family members.
Highland Suite: Our five-roomed premier suite with private study, separate lounge, spacious bathroom, large bedroom and adjoining dressing-room - all to the highest standard - with privacy and views.
Stable Suite: Situated over the elegant Stable Complex, some 200 metres away from the main lodge, with beautiful views from the balcony down the valley into the Lowveld.
Our Stable Suite does not have a fireplace and is situated 200m away from the main hotel complex.

- Full large bathroom with shower, bath, loo and vanity.
The Walkersons Estate offers three private self catering cottages, accommodation up to 10 people in 5 separate bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and open plan lounge, dining room, kitchen in each house.
The standard is Comfortable/ Luxury with:
Fireplaces in the lounge.
Bathroomswith baths or showers, heated towel rails etc.
TV's with full DSTV reception.
Large kitchen with standard appointments and with microwave ovens, extra chest deepfreeze, dishwasher and tumble dryer.
Maid to clean and make up the beds (not cooking) available by prior arrangement at a rate of R50,00 per day.
Outdoor Patios with braai facilities.
Canyon Cottage: Privately set at the top of a riverine valley next to its own weir and waterfall.
Willow Weir Cottage: Along the banks of the Lunskilp River in good location to all the dams and river weirs.
Mark`s Cottage: Overlooking the Lunsklip valley and Yellow Bill Dam positioned up on a sunny promontory with beautiful views
Indulge in gentle country pursuits, the estate offers beautiful forest and river walks, as well as walking trails into the nature reserve where indigenous game abides in a mountain wilderness renowned for its birdlife and prolific flowers. Visit the Raptor Rehabilitation Centre.
For the fly fisherman, the lodge offers fly-fishing for rainbow trout in several kilometres of private river or one of the many lakes. A full selection of fly-fishing tackle and accessories is available to guests at a nominal charge. Enjoy breathtaking walks from the Lodge to the mountain top extending 2 180 meters and climbing 250 meters in elevation, rich with fauna and flora you'll love every step.
Walkersons boasts excellent conference facilities and a charming 30-seat wedding chapel. Only 2 ? hours from Johannesburg International Airport, en route to the Kruger National Park, on the outskirts of the trout-fishing village of Dullstroom. Wine Magazine Top 100 Restaurants.
