After hearing the lions at night, wake up to the sound of the Fish eagle calling, just in time to see the beautiful African sun rise- you’re not alone.
Phumula Kruger lodge is located in Marloth Park right on the doorstep of the Kruger National Park, which is only 20.3 km away. The wildlife roam around freely seeing as the only thing that separates us from the Kruger National Park is the Crocodile River. You might even find impala, giraffe, zebra, kudu or warthog ending up on your porch.
We have four thatched chalets which consists of 3 bedrooms
2 x (1 double bed, 1 3/4bed and 1 bunk bed)
1 x (1 double bed and 2 3/4beds)
1 x (1 double bed and 2 bunk beds),
2 bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen with microwave NO STOVE, lounge, patio and braai area. Enjoy air conditioning in all our luxury buildings.
The chalets are no smoking areas. Take pleasure in our À la Carte restaurant, fully licensed bar, boma area and swimming pool where you can cool off on our hot summer days. We cater for small weddings and conferences on request.
With a small shopping center across the road you can buy most necessities or you can come and enjoy lovely restaurant food or even better when organized in advance you can enjoy a boma braai or meal under the stars.
We can organize any tours from game drives and morning walks into the Kruger National Park to day trips to the cultural village, candle and glass factory in Swaziland, day trips to the beautiful beaches of Mozambique and elephant back rides. For the fatigued and stressed out bodies and souls we also have a internationally qualified beautician.
Visit the sugar mills of TSB in the Lowveld and last but not least the panoramic route. Please see the website for the packages available.
Game drives can be taken throughout Marloth Park where the game moves freely and have the right of way. There is also a Conservation area called Lionspruit where such animals as lions (3), leopard, rhino (4) and buffalo can be found.
Nyala's, kudu, wildebeest (Gnu) and a large variety of other game is present in Lionspruit and it is also the bird-lovers paradise. There are various lookout areas and Lionspruit has 5 dams.
Various lookout areas over the Crocodile River delivers daily surprises and elephants are quite common in the late afternoon.
A sparkling pool awaits you on hot days and is conveniently situated next to the bar and restaurant area and within a few meters of your chalet.
You can go to the Kruger in your own vehicle or be taken on a day tour.
It is however recommended that you get to the gates at opening times, during school holidays and long weekends.
