Description:
Nestled in an evergreen valley between towering mountains, Noordhoek is world renown for it's spectacular 6 kilometer long powder-white beach. There is, however, a lot more to discover in and around this charming village - a veritable treasure trove of nature's bounty.
Conveniently situated midway between Cape Town and Cape Point, Noordhoek offers easy access to many of the Cape's popular tourist attractions. The main road through the village leads on to the famous and awe-inspiring Chapman's Peak Drive (M6). Whales abound in the waters off Noordhoek and Fish Hoek beaches (during season) and sunbathers are spoiled for choice with the many beaches just a few minutes away. Noordhoek boasts a community of diverse talents and cultures and has its very own "Art Route". The Noordhoek Farm Village captures the essence of the village with our art and craft shops and home bake stores between the oaks. Cozy pubs and restaurants compliment this peaceful, country village and offer visitors a chance to meet some of the local residents.
The area is rich in fauna and flora. A stroll on Noordhoek beach, or better still a ride on horse back at sunset is an experience not to be missed. The 2 acre garden and the wetland opposite affords an opportunity to identify a number of bird species including a number of the Southern African endemic species. Beautiful Noordhoek, with it's village character and close proximity to all the tourist attractions of the Peninsula, makes it the ideal base for a holiday in the Cape.
Our 11 charming Cape-Style cottages are set in a lovely 2 acre garden dominated by mature garden and each overlook a sparkling swimming pool. All units offer the comfort of an en-suite bathroom (with the exception of self-catering units) and are equipped with DSTV, telephone, honesty bar/fridge, tea/coffee facilities, heaters, fans, clock radios, hairdryers, umbrellas, emergency kits etc. Secure parking is allocated to each unit.
We accommodate 11 pax (single) or 26 pax (sharing) in our suites. Teas, lunches and dinners are provided by arrangement.
Dinners, traditional braais (barbeques) are offered by request for groups of 6 or more. A bar service is available and light snacks are served around the poolside in summer. A number of award-winning restaurants are located within a 5 minute drive from Afton Grove and a modern shopping mall comprising of 12 restaurants, 100 shops, banks and cinemas is located within walking distance.
Among the many additional services offered are;- airport transfers, laundry facilities, travel desk (we are happy to help guests with their onward travel arrangements), hiking/bird-watching tours, horse riding on Noordhoek beach etc.
