Set in the hills, just outside Hillcrest, Shenindor is a lovely country home, surrounded by a beautiful indigenous garden, with a breathtaking view across the Assagay Valley
A warm, homely atmosphere, the double story house has a comfortable lounge with open fireplace, kitchen, dining room, large patio and outdoor entertainment area. The pool, situated next to the walk-in Aviary overlooks the garden and paddocks, with the stables a short distance away. A large pond is home to 4 resident ducks.
The peaceful country surroundings offer a wide variety of bird-life and visitors may enjoy meeting “Flymo” and friends, the tame resident mousebirds.
No country home is complete without the dogs and cats. The name Shenindor is a tribute to my Labradors and visitors can expect a warm welcome and plenty of love and affection during their stay!
Shenindor offers the Businessman, tourist or holiday maker a peaceful, country atmosphere with warm friendly hospitality. Enjoy breakfast overlooking the valley, sociable evenings around the fire or outdoor braais on warm summer nights.
Accommodation includes the Businessman’s Suite, a bedroom with double bed and a breathtaking view over the valley, an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower and toilet and a separate lounge.
The luxury suite has a large queen-size bed, lovely en-suite bathroom with a spar bath and shower. A Private balcony overlooking the Assagay Valley makes this suite the perfect romantic getaway and is a wonderful honeymoon suite for all newlyweds.
The self contained cottage in the garden can accommodate 2 adults and has a sleeper couch in the lounge for families with kids.
All rooms have their own kettles, so tea and coffee can be enjoyed throughout the day. The downstairs lounge can be enjoyed to relax and watch TV.
Breakfast is served in the dining room or al fresco weather permitting and evening meals are available on request.
Other services provided are fax facilities, a laundry service and if required, transport to and from Durban International Airport.
Relax next to the pool, take a country walk, or visit the nearby tourist and curio shops followed by lunch at Dunrobin Nursery.
Take in the “Valley of 1000 Hills” and experience the On Air Raptor displays. Phezulu African dancing is a must for all international visitors. Browse around the ethnic shops at the renowned Rob Roy hotel, or spend an afternoon at Hillcrest's Heritage Market. Chanteclear Hotel situated in the valley boasts a sports bar with a big screen TV for the avid sports lovers. For those who enjoy fishing and water sports, Shongweni and Inanda Dams, both surrouded by Nature Reserves, are close by. KZN is home to some beautiful and challenging golf courses. Camelot, Kloof and Augusta are a short "drive" away, so don't leave your golf Clubs at home!
