Description:
Set on the banks of the Vaal-river surrounded by water, weeping willows, unspoiled nature and birds, only one and a half hour's drive from Gauteng. Situated in the Vredefort Dome created by the impact of the biggest and oldest Meteorite that ever struck the earth.
The 4 to 6 bed fully equipt Lodges as well as self-catering chalets are very poppular.
You may also like to camp on the riverbank with a lovely view over the river.
Get on a "QUAD-BIKE" and enjoy a guided nature drive (30 min. to one hr.)
The more adventures visitor may like to enjoy the 5hr (normal level) WHITEWATER RAFTING". APA- qualified guides will accompany you, and ensure that your day is one big adventure. We supply all equipment.
Paddle on the river on inflatable 8 man rafts during sunset. A glass of Champagne will put you in the right mood before we start, and a glass of sherry will warm you up after the cruise. Back at camp you will be treated on the best "FREESTATE BRAAI" arround!
Paintball, a medium-high rope coarse that end with a zipline sliding into the river, the "survivor challenge", a night march and other activities are also facilitated by Dimalachite for groups.

For leisure you may like to try some fishing. Catching a 7kg "WILD YELLOW" or 15kg Carp from the bank. Fly-fishing is very popular at Dimalachite with plenty of rapids and streams available. We rent rafts to get to the rapids. Bank fishing for Carp, Muddies, Yellows and Barber are also very poppular.
