Description:
180 kilometers from Maputo lies the village town of Bilene and Praia do Sol Resort overlooking the San Martino Lake.
A lagoon some 15km long and 4Km wide, that lies along side the warm Indian Ocean, it's like a mini- Mediterranean in Africa.

A rustic beach Escape. Where soft white coral sand, ice cold beer and warm people make an idyllic holiday spot for the holidaymakers and family vacationers.
A-frame, single and double-story structures are built up into the hillside and have balconies overlooking the waters of the lake. All accommodation comes standard with mosquito nets and en-suite shower and toilet.
Comfortable mattresses and cotton bed linen are our quality signature and rooms are serviced daily by our friendly staff.
Praia do Sol is laid back and relaxing with us is what it's all about, although there is no shortage of things to do with the range of activities that can easily be organised, like dune riding on quad bikes which takes you away for a day and brings you back thrilled and exhausted or try a two hour canoe trip taking you through two smaller lakes, along the river and back into the San Martino Lake until you find your way back to Praia do Sol.
All rates are on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis and when you join us for breakfast, lunch or super, you won?t be disappointed because our relaxed restaurant is built on Rhodesian teak wooden decking over looking the San Martino Lake.
Relax in the ambience of a tropical beach lifestyle and enjoy a delightfully varied dinner menu prepared each evening. Dishes are tasty and well prepared including fresh seafood of course, Portuguese chicken.
Fresh fruit, cereals and cooked breakfasts await you each morning and for those who would like a mid-day meal, we have lunch snacks and a mini-pizza oven to satisfy your appetite.

Cold beer also comes standard at Praia do Sol! And you?ll find more than just a cold beer in our bar. Like cocktails. Portuguese and South African wine. Spirits. Refreshment. And a great atmosphere.

Aqua del Mar Scuba is our specialist water sport center offering a number of activities: Ski, Tube, Wake Snake, Wake Boarding, Knee Boarding, Wind Surfing, Kayaking, Snorkeling, Deep Sea Fishing, Shore Fishing, Spear Fishing, Scuba Diving (Lagoon and Ocean), Scuba Dive Courses, Whale Watching, Booze Cruise and Beach Trips.
Those who aren?t that adventurous can also simply lounge next to our swimming pool.
All actives are at an extra cost.
All activities are weather permitting, and subject to numbers of persons participating.
Microlight do Bilene offers stunning scenic flights over Bilene and the lagoon, allowing you to experience this magnificent area from a completely different perspective.
During your 20 minute scenic flight, we will fly all around the lagoon, to the lagoon mouth and low-level across the beach, we you will see thousands of ghost crabs and feel the mist of the ocean spray against your face.

Ten years ago Praia do Sol started as a small resort and although it has grown, it still remains small by comparison to larger more plush resorts in the area.
As the resort has grown, so have its staff - a group of people who have become like a family and most of whom have been with the resort since it started some ten years ago. Our people will look after you. Come and join us. There's a cold beer in the fridge for you.
There are no credit Card facilities in Bilene.
The water is drinkable Borehole water.
The town power is often down, so, bring a Torch.
There are NO self-catering facilities. So leave your gas stove, pots and pans at home.
There are NO plug points for fridges or freezers.
There are NO fridges or freezers for guest use.
All vehicles are parked in a secure parking area.
There is a small safe at the reception, however, guests are to ensure, their valuables are kept safe at all times, as Management cannot be held responsible for any loss, theft, or damage of any property.
Mozambique is a high risk Malaria Country, please visit your doctor, or take all the necessary precautions before going to Mozambique.

Rates for 2007.
Rates: Low Season: R550.00 pp per night.
High Season: R595.00 pp pr night.
Peak Season: R725.00 pp per night. (Studio/Chalets)
Single Rate: Add R175.00 per prson per night
(Only bookings of 5day or more will be taken for Peak Season)
Children aged between 6 and 12 pay half price.
Children aged between 3 and 6 years pay R150.00
Children aged 2 years or younger stay for free.
Please do not be offended if a copy of the
children's ID's are requested.
Single bookings carry a surcharge of R150.00.
