Whether you are going North or South up the N1, this is a must stayover to break your journey and enjoy the crisp clean air of the great Karoo.
Situated just forty four kilometers from Colesberg and only 5 km's off the N1, Rose Cottage is only 5 minutes from South Africa's largest dam, in the heart of the country.
The accommodation comprises is devided into three establishments.
Rose Cottage Rooibekkie:
This is a luxury self contained modern "oak styled" private "Granny Flat" with modern equipement and a brand new Samsung air conditioner and "Simonz" beds with "ice white" linen. Private parking and seperate braai area.
Rose Cottage Hammerkop:
This is a large guesthouse with 2 full bedrooms with an 2 extra double sleeper couches, sleeps up to 8 persons. Huge double lounge leading onto a veranda that overlooks a new pool braai and Lapa. Bird feeding at 5 p/m daily.
We now have a brand new pool and Lapa for your enjoyment.
Let Anene serve you her famous breakfast outside in the Lapa or enjoy an evening "sundowner" while watching the bird feeding.

Rose Cottage Swallow: is a self standing Granny flat which is able to sleep up to four guests. It has an open plan lounge and Kitchenette that includes a sleeping area with two new "Simonz" beds with a brand new "Samsung" air conditioner.
This is non smoking inside the establishment
DSTV with the four SABC channels.
Modern kitchen equipped with new cutlery and crockery.
This accommodation is suitable for people wanting a over night stay or for guests wishing to extend their stay to enjoy the Gariep Dam and surrounding area.
There is also a separate bedroom which also has two brand new luxury Simonz beds and has an en-suite toilet and shower.
Safe private undercover parking. Private entertainment area which has a four seater Lapa and braai area.
Guests have access to communal pool and bird feeding area
Gariep Dam is South Africa's largest dam and boasts some of the best Watersports, Yachting and Fishing. Aviation facilities are superb, including two tarred & well maintained runways on an uncontrolled airport, with hangers available. A Microlite & Gyro paradise.
Annually in December, the Dam hosts an international Glider championship which attracts a worldwide attendance.
Nearby there are two game reserves, and the Avontura Complex on the dam has the usual amenities that include 2 olympic size swimming pools, camping and hiking, put-put, tennis courts, a bowling green and a gholf course.
The village has banks, bars, restaurants, bottle stores and a well stocked Supermarket at the Green Door complex.
