With a history dating back to 1876, the newly renovated Wakkerstroom Country Inn offers a relaxed and friendly village atmosphere only two and a half to three hours away from Pretoria and Johannesburg.
Wakkerstroom is the ideal getaway for birders, adventure seekers and for those just wanting to relax and allow everyday stresses to just fall away.
Wakkerstroom Country Inn offers 8 en-suite, comfortable & tastefully decorated bedrooms (including 2 family suites). All double rooms offer queen-size beds. The family rooms have additional double sleeper couches. Tea and coffee facilities are available in each room
The 2 Family Suites, which can sleep 2 adults and up to 2 children.
There is a guest lounge exclusively for the use of our guests.
Our breakfast includes a light continental buffet, followed by a choice of Full English breakfast, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, smoked haddock and poached eggs or omelettes. 'Early bird' packed breakfasts can be arranged.
Throughout the week, our warm, welcoming pub, serving meals seven days a week both lunch and dinner, provides a popular rendezvous for visitors and locals alike. Our delicious pub meals, can be enjoyed on the veranda overlooking the town square, on the patio in our secluded garden setting or in our popular pub, with a roaring log fire in winter.
Our a la carte dining room is open on Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings and on Sunday lunch, and offers a superb dining experience for the discerning guest.
The owners, both experienced chefs from top London restaurants, offer a culinary sensation that you will not wish to miss.
