Description:
Umhlanga Rocks, just 15km north of Durban, is one of the premier holiday sites in South Africa.
The Umbrella Tree House is a delightful little self-contained Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the Umhlanga suburbs. With beautiful sea views and in close proximity to all the major attractions and business areas, this is the perfect spot for holidaymakers and business people.
Umbrella Tree House has 3 double rooms, each with a balcony overlooking the Indian Ocean. All rooms are en-suite with shower and bath. There is a TV in each room with local channels ? bring your own smartcard to watch DStv. Each room has air-conditioning and a ceiling fan.
There is a lounge and dining room which is completely separate from the main residence with DStv in the lounge. Outside is a lovely wooden deck beneath the trees perfect for relaxation.
Self Catering:
The entire B&B is available as a self-catering cottage sleeping 6. Includes all bed linen and bath towels, no swimming towels. Cottage would be serviced every day except Sundays and public holidays.
Attractions:
The Beach: Suntan, swim, bodyboard, surf, go diving, snorkelling, dolphin and whale viewing, deep-sea fishing.
Sharks and Crocs: The Sharks Board offers fascinating presentations and displays all to do with sharks, while you can get to see crocs up close at Croc Valley.
Ushaka: The world-class aquarium and water-world is worth every penny. Stunning aquarium set in an old wreck, while the water-slides are great for all ages. Lovely little shopping area and restaurants alongside.
Gateway: Shop till you drop, eat till you pop, climb the indoor rock, surf the double standing wave, play games, watch movies, visit the MTN sciencentre, IMAX movie theatre, be entertained all day.
Sport: Watch the rugby at ABSA stadium, the cricket at Kingsmead, play golf at Mount Edgecombe, Umhlali, and Zimbali to name a few.

We are about 2km from the Umhlanga Ridge business centre, about 20 minutes from Durban city centre, the ICC (International Convention Centre) and the Durban Exhibition Centre, about 10 minutes from Virginia airport, 35 minutes from Durban International Airport.
