Map/Directions to Dolphin Lodge - ZavoraDirections: From Xai Xai to Inharrime, the road is currently under construction by WBHO and must be negotiated carefully. Road works signs are not always in the correct places and there are often places where the road works teams request one to stop. The road works between Xai Xai and Inhambane/ Maxixe are due to be completed in June 2006. From Inharrime, the turn off to Dolphin Lodge Zavora is 12km. From the turn off the main road, the sand road to Dolphin Lodge Zavora is 15km. The road is navigable by 2 wheel drive motor car 99% of the time. The only time it becomes a bit tricky with a normal car is during a serious downpour. There are probably only a couple of days a year that it is not adviseable to navigate the road with a two wheel drive. At the end of the sand road, there is a T junction. Left is to our neighbours, Zavora Lodge and right is to Dolphin Lodge Zavora, us. From there, keep right and the entrance to Dolphin Lodge is about 800m. At this stage, 2 wheel drive vehicles need assistance to get up the last 80m of road to the elevated entrance of the development. We will be working on this in due course. |
